APAC team attend Hong Kong Forum

Hong Kong is the number one business city in Asia, it is well known for being a business hub for international companies and a major gateway to China.  Hong Kong is one of China’s richest and most developed region. It is a perfect example of a vibrant city with a population of 7 million, just one third of the size of Melbourne. Thanks to the invitation from Hong Kong-Australia Business Association, Claire Li and Jonathen Chan from OpenMarkets Asia-Pacific team were delighted to attend the 18th Hong Kong Forum.

Every year members and associates converge to Hong Kong from across the globe to attend the two-day event. The forum is the annual flagship event of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide. The event has grown to include 41 Hong Kong Business Associations in 30 countries and regions with more than 13,000 members across Asia, Australasia, Europe and North America.

The Forum gives attendees the latest insights and information on doing business in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. The programme ranges from panel discussions to topical addresses, networking sessions and face-to-face communication with senior executives from Hong Kong and around the world.

During the two days, the team were able to network with a variety of elites from diverse industries including: fintech owners, solution providers, robo-advisor, and organisations that utilise big data based on their self-developed artificial intelligence.

The forum provided the effective base to exchange information, generate different business opportunities and expanded globally.
